2025-04-01: Cognos Package Retirement - Admissions

This message was sent to all Data Warehouse users with student data access.

We're continuing our transition from Cognos to Tableau and want to ensure you're informed about the next Cognos Package decommissioning. Please plan and coordinate with your data consumers to minimize any disruptions.

Mark Your Calendar! On April 30, 2025, the Admissions Cognos Package will be retired.

After April 30th, the Cognos package will cease functioning. Reports in Cognos that rely on this package will generate errors, but the same data will be accessible in Tableau. The University Data Warehouse will continue to support queries.

Prepare

Compare Cognos reports to the Undergraduate, Graduate, and Admissions Lists dashboards to ensure data consistency.
Validate data accuracy across systems and contact us for discrepancies.
Submit enhancement requests for missing metrics or fields.
